Memories Turn To Dust

Cheers to my once ride or die
The one who knew me right
My once upon a time perfect ride
The one I thought would never park
But even the best stories have an end
I had to turn the page
Closing the chapter was the only way to be free
A journey to my new beginning without you
So here is my goodbye before I bury the memories

A toast to my ex best friend I thought I would know till the end
I look back to somebody I used to know
I laugh at all the crazy moments we had
Having each other's back like siblings
I always thought we would face everything as a two men team

But..
Times got tough, you messed up and..
You lost the love I cherished the most
There is no way we can mend
These memories will soon fade
But I appreciate for making my past great

They say "The ones you love are the ones you hurt the most"
But I do not regret anything
You did what you did
I acted how I felt
All the promises are now broken lines
So here is my goodbye

I am from the Warm Heart of Africa (Malawi). A holder of a Bachelor's degree in Journalism obtained at Blantyre International University. I am passionate about joining the Army and I am the World's future Air Force Soldier.

I believe in equal opportunities among men and women. We have a long way to go to achieve this but I will make sure I see the day when gender won't define any human so I will fight for gender equality.

I love expressing my feelings on a paper because it relieves my pain.

Here in Malawi, we have some traditional beliefs that violate women's rights. It is really okay to respect beliefs we have in our societies, but not all traditions are meant to be followed. How can it be a tradition for girls to be made to have sex with a paid sex worker known as a "Hyena" once they reach puberty?
