Women are always known for crossing odds and attaining zenith. In a state like Rajasthan, it becomes uncertain where girls are being expected to learn house chores and excel in it and further marry someone. They are being taught to be submissive.

In this era, I believe in standing and raising my voice in changing the lives of women and... in setting an example by breaking the glass ceiling.

Chasing chaos has always been her expertise. Hemlata is known as chaos wrapped in peace. She is a young enthusiast who believes in making the best out of each moment she explores. She is very decisive and enjoys the beauty of literature and art. Apart from being creative and dynamic in her interest, she is a team player.

I deserve to get equal education rights as any boy, and I deserve to get equal wages as my male counterparts. It is about receiving equal status and social respect as any other fellow. Sadly, many women in different parts of the world aren’t getting those rights. Feminism isn’t about man-hating, and if you think “why do we need feminism?”, then look at our community where girls are sexually harassed, a three year old girl is getting raped, a wife is suffering acid attacks from her husband because he didn’t like her face.

Did you know? Rape is the fourth most common crime against women in India, and over 26,000 cases of rape have been reported in India. Also, another interesting piece of trivia, almost 98% of these were committed by a person known to the victim. I wonder who are worse, the 98% to do such a thing to someone who trusts you, or the other 2% to do it to a stranger in the bus.
